Authentic Pursuit: Building a Church from Nothing

The Experience Community was started on February 15th, 2009, with no funding, denominational support, or outside help in a basement on the square in Murfreesboro, TN. In six short years, God moved this church through multiple locations, enabled the most eclectic people to find Christ, created dynamic outreach to the unchurched, disillusioned, and broken, and grew the congregation to almost 2,000 people. Fast forward to 2024, and the church has continued to outgrow every space it moves into, and attendance is nearly 9,000 at weekend services, spread across four campuses in four counties in Middle Tennessee. This is the story of a church that never should have succeeded because of the obstacles in its path, but through Christ, it has flourished into a powerful vessel that advances the Kingdom of God.
