On September 28, 1994, just after midnight, the passenger ferry Estonia sank in the icy waters of the Baltic Sea, killing nearly 900 people. The "official" explanation for the disaster was bad weather, but one courageous journalist risked her life to prove that far more sinister forces were responsible for the tragedy, which to this day, reamins shrouded in a veil of secrecy.
